Catherine Westerduin was born in New Jersey, and received her primary dance education from Bolshoi and NYC Ballet principal dancer Leonid Kozlov. As a soloist of the traveling nonprofit Kozlov Dance International, Catherine performed throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, and continues to dance with professional companies throughout New York City. Catherine is currently a dancer with the Labyrinth Dance Company, and a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s African Rhythms group. She is pursuing her yoga certification with a focus in dance, and can be found teaching and choreographing throughout the tri-state area. When not dancing, Catherine is a social worker at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.

This showcase is the final of the Catherine Westerduin Presents' Summer Showcase Series. It features performances by young artists from Philadelphia and the tri-state area. Writ in Water combines all genres of dance in a celebration of impermanence and sustainability.
