Enjoy an evening of dance in two parts, BYO wine and beer. Raise Your Voice is a mixed bill of varied personal diary essays and writings brought to visual life through movement. The written works that serve as the basis for choreographic material span several different artists’ viewpoints. Maybe Even Higher is a development of a particular theme in Asya Zlatina’s written journals over a period of time. An expression of innermost thoughts that consistently surface and propel a surge of feelings, Maybe Even Higher is an attempt to soothe and honor. It is lovingly dedicated to The Judische Kulturbund that refused to shed their humanity and life’s work in the face of extermination, and the inhabitants of Theresienstadt and other camps that found humor, dignity and theater in the pits of hell.
