Every year the Opus 1 Dance Project brings together an amazing and diverse group of professional dancers. Some of our dancers have used Opus as a stepping stone on their way to prestigious full-time performing careers with major companies such as The Martha Graham Company, Bill T. Jones and Mark Morris. Other dancers in our company have already had professional careers as dancers and use Opus as a way to keep performing afterwards. Many of our dancers work as dance teachers, run their own studios or teach in the public and private school system. Some of our dancers have day jobs unrelated to dance such as a tenured professor of Anthropology at West Chester University, and Opus is a way for them to stay in touch with the arts community.
