transition to a dance house following the company’s final season. Victor is passionate about furthering the mission of the Performance Garage -serving the diverse group of dancers, artists, and students who call the Performance Garage home.
Victor was born in Pueblo, Colorado, and is a graduate of Trinity College and Harvard Law School. In addition to his support of the Performance Garage, Victor is an active and enthusiastic supporter of the arts in Philadelphia, serving on the Boards of the Philadelphia Theatre Company, the Kimmel Center, and PlayPenn. Victor and Jeanne also own the Bethany Mission Gallery, a repurposed Quaker church adjacent to the Performance Garage. The gallery houses Victor’s extensive collection of “outsider/self-taught” art, vintage radios, toasters, and toys.
Victor has touched the lives of countless artists with his generosity and passion for the arts.
Victor Keen is the Co-Founder & Board President of the Performance Garage, and an avid supporter of the arts. He and his wife, choreographer Jeanne Ruddy, purchased the Performance Garage in 2000, and oversaw its transformation from an abandoned auto-body shop into the vibrant center for dance that it is today.
