Biography
Britt Fishel and Artists is a collaborative, project based company, presenting both live performances and dance films, in the Philadelphia community and beyond. Through research and performance, we aim to foster a better assimilation of the human experience, to democratize and normalize socioeconomic, political, and identity driven conversations that are both diverse and inclusive through intersectionality. Through the lens of a feminist perspective, we address our past, to better understand our present, to change our future.

Britt Fishel and Artists presents allowed|aloud, which continues our research and examination into the normalized animalization of women, though literature, everyday dialog, and the preconceptions that follow. We investigate historical waves of feminism in our country: the reactive elements, the cyclical elements, and investigate how women have taken to solving the misogyny, while examining personal protest. Through performance and video, allowed|aloud asks questions about choice, survival, and rebellion. We bury, cover, shelter, fix, secure, rebel, and repeat.
